Graphics Converter for RT2000 owners by Dave ok first of all this is a great utility which I found on the TitleMotion cd, since I didn't see this long time ago I am lucky to see it today and share it with the RT2000 owners. This is also a batch utility which means that you can put many files on the "add files" then select the output type, and click GO! and it will make ALL the files into RT2000 compatible TGA files. Of course it doesn't do Alpha Channels automatically but you can do that in Photoshop. Basicly what you do is open "convert.exe" and a window appears. Heres are the steps: 1. Click "Add Files" and you can add as many files you would like, including "BMP, DIB, GIF, JFIG, JPEG, JPE, JPG, LGO, PIX, PCD, PCX, RLE, TIFF, TIF, TGA, VII, VST, WIN". 2. In the "Convert Files To Types" Select "TGA, Truevision, (*.TGA)" 3. Check "Width" and make it to "720" 4. Check "Height" and make it to "480" 5. Check "Bpp" and select "32" box. 6. Clear the "Destination Directory" because all the converted files for the use for RT2000 will be added to the same directory as the "Source" files were. But if you want to transfer to a special directory of your choice make a directory in the Hard Drive named (eg. D:\images) and write in the "Destination Directory" "d:\images\". 7. Click GO! and if there are MANY images to convert, go drink a coffe and come back and Viola, its all finished. 8. Make sure you DON'T import the RT2000 .TGA files into Premiere yet because there is one more step to go. 9. Open FlipTGA and select ALL the images that were made into an RT2000 .TGA file(s) and click "Open". Then click "Convert" and wait for it to flip the images. 10. Import the images into Premiere and watch it flow Real-Time. Notes: This is a Very cool utility, because you may have different sizes of images, and you want to convert it/them into a 720x480 32bit uncompressed .TGA files so you can play it back Real-Time in Adobe Premiere to your DV/VHS/S-VHS recorder.
